Overview

The 2019 robot included a very effective lifting mechanism to deliver hatch panels quickly and efficiently as multiple levels. This was our first effective use of PID control for the motors driving the lifter. The bot also very consistently lifted itself to one level during the end-game.

BlitzCreek won its third blue banner during the 2019 season. It then traveled to the FIRST of Michigan State Championship at Saginaw Valley State University and the FRC World Championship in Detroit, MI.

Game

The 2019 game included delivery of “cargo” (balls) in a space-themed game field. Hatch panels consisting of plastic disks ringed with hook-and-loop fasteners were first hung at various levels. This sealed storage areas to allow cargo to be delivered and retained. The end-game included the requirement to lift robots onto platforms at various levels.
