2016 was a year when many features came together in BlitzCreek robotics. The robot managed most of the elements of a multifaceted game. It was our first year using tank tracks for mobility. Multiple autonomous routines were integrated. Finally, a very successful end-game lifting feature rounded out the robot.
BlitzCreek traveled to the FIRST of Michigan State Championship in Grand Rapids and the FRC World Championship in St. Louis, MO.

FIRST Stronghold offered a wide variety of randomly-placed obstructions to conquer and bypass to ultimately capture the opponent alliance’s tower. Foam balls (”boulders”) were launched at the opponent’s tower as well. The end-game included hooking onto a metal bar and lifting the robot off the ground.
