Overview

2015 produced a strong robot that performed the game task (stacking packing totes) well. We learned how to lift objects (similar to a forklift), but began to see the importance of drive train and speed for robot competition. As part of the game, team members mastered the best way to throw a pool noodle.

This season included our first trip to the FIRST of Michigan State Championship in Grand Rapids. We furthermore scored well enough for our very first trip to the FRC World Championship in St. Louis, MO.

Game

Recycle Rush primary involved picking up and stacking plastic totes and delivering them to a designated are on the playing field. Additionally, pool noodles (“litter”) were tossed by a human player.
