Overview

2017 was a very successful year for BlitzCreek robotics. The game included delivery of plastic gears to a hook. A very effective pneumatic-controlled unit was constructed to pick up and deliver the gears. The robot consistently climbed a rope in the end-game.

BlitzCreek brought home its first blue banner in 2017 with as a member of a regional event winning alliance. The team then traveled to the FIRST of Michigan State Championship at Saginaw Valley State University and the FRC World Championship in St. Louis, MO.

FIRST Steamworks challenged robot teams to deliver plastic gears to human players operating in platform (“airship”) in the middle of the playing field. When sufficient gears were delivered, they were turned to gain point levels. The end-game required the robots to catch a rope deployed from the tower and pull itself off of the ground.
